Server setup

Once your server has been approved and a config role assigned by the bot owner, you're a few steps away from automatic rank roles.

How it works: only the bot owner can allowlist a server (/admin-allow) and pick the Discord role that's allowed to run /config-* commands in it (/admin-set-config-role). Until a config role is set, /config-* commands are locked for everyone.

  1. Invite the bot

    Open this URL and pick your server. Use the same link even if you plan to use the bot via User Install.

    Important: place the bot's role above every tier role it will assign. Discord doesn't let a role manage roles ranked higher than itself.

  2. Map tiers to roles

    These commands must be run by a member who holds the config role designated by the bot owner. For each tier you care about, tell the bot which Discord role it should assign. Repeat for Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, Challenger.

    You can skip tiers you don't want to track: unmapped tiers simply don't trigger any role assignment. Run /help-config at any time for a quick command reference.

  3. (Optional) Map lanes to roles

    If you want opt-in lane roles (Top / Jungle / Mid / Bot / Support), map each lane to a Discord role. Members then pick with /lanes set.

    Skip this step entirely if you don't want lane roles.

  4. (Optional) Custom emojis

    /profile and /profile-text show the official rank and lane emblems by default. To use your own, add server emojis with exactly these names (case-insensitive): they take precedence over the bot's.

  5. Tell members to link their accounts

    Each member links their own Riot ID (gameName#tagLine), up to 5 accounts: the bot keeps the highest Solo/Duo rank across them. To prove the account is theirs, they set the summoner icon that /link shows (a starter icon every account owns) in the League client, then run /verify.

    Then they can:

    • /profile: your profile (main account, role, rank + Lobby Rank, OP.GG)
    • /profile-text: the same profile, copy-paste ready
    • /rank: current Solo/Duo rank
    • /accounts: list linked accounts
    • /refresh: force a re-check (normally runs daily)
    • /lanes set: pick 1 or 2 preferred lanes
    • /forget-me: wipe their data in this server (/forget-me-everywhere: in every server)

    The same features are also available in the member area (with the same limits: /refresh every 2 h, and 3 /link//verify per minute).
